Bitcoin has risen by 72% in the first quarter of the year.
From January 1 to March 31, the asset price rose from $16,500 to $28,350. The maximum value for this period was the mark of $29,100 reached on March 30.
The market capitalization of the globe's first cryptocurrency has already reached $548.2 billion.
Experts believe that much of the rebound has been fueled by speculation that central banks, led by the Federal Reserve, will abandon their aggressive rate increases in response to recession signals.
Such positive dynamics has led to the total capitalization of cryptocurrencies having increased by 38% over the last three months - from $830 billion to $1.144 trillion.
